To find this model truck which has been acclaimed for many years as one of the best mini truck 4x4's and by now almost all have hundreds of thousands of miles or have turned into "rock crawlers" with most of the body parts missing. This truck has the original 22R motor with a Weber carburetor, original paint, stripes, drivetrain and comes with power steering and air conditioning.

In 1982 this model truck had only been out for a couple of years and they were getting driven off the showroom floor faster than the dealers could bring them with special orders on every desk. The stout suspension was often blamed for the bouncy ride but the fault lies with the original seats which were nothing but springs with a little foam on top. I put late model 4RUNNER leather bucket seats in and it now rides like it should, bouncing when it hits the speed bump and not twice afterwards. I still have the original seats and they are flawless in color and condition.

Since I purchased the truck, I put new BFG tires on it, power leather seats, hand made "Wet Okole" seat covers, (made from wet suit material), Custom shift knobs (saved the originals) and gave it new brakes all the way around.
